California State Brackets - - - - Oregon State Brackets - - - - Washington State Brackets This event showcases the best talent in wrestlers from the senior class from Oregon, California, and new this year will be a squad from Washington. Come support the best senior wrestlers from Oregon, California, and Washington competing in one of their last collegiate match of high school. The winning team will take home bragging rights and also the trophy "The Dave Schultz Cup." This trophy is named after Dave Schultz, a wrestler who lived in both Oregon and California. He became a great wrestler in US History, and was one of the greatest goodwill ambassadors our sport has ever seen.
Accomadations have been made for Oregon and Washington team members to stay in Ashland, Oregon on Friday night. Contact Bert Vanduzer or John Bruer if you would like to stay with the team on Friday.
The requirements of the wrestlers are:
- Each wrestler must be a Senior at a high school in either California or Oregon, and place in your respective state tournament.
- Coaches from Oregon and California invite wrestlers that will represent their state as the best wrestler in that weight class.
- This is a USA Wrestling sanctioned event, all wrestlers are required to have a valid USA Wrestling Card.
- The weight classes will be the NFHS Wrestling weight classes plus 9 pounds (103=112, 112=121, etc.).
